Crank your oven up as high as it will go-just kidding. A traditional wood fired oven can reach 800 degrees so the pizzas are thin and cook fast. I would start with 400 to 450 degrees in your oven. Bake until crust is golden brown and all the cheese is melted.I like to bake it starting on the bottom rack of the oven 8-10 minutes and then put it on the top rack in the oven till the cheese is melted. So cooking timeis between 12 to 15 minutes. Make sure to check the pizza often at the end of the baking time, it could burn very quick. Enjoy your piping hot pizza's, there simple and delicious!
OK lets top those pizza's.Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.Have fun with the toppings but balance your toppings so there not to heavy for the crust size.Coming up with right combination of toppings is very much like putting together a sandwich.
BBQ Chicken Pizza-BBQ sauce on the crust top with diced chicken, red onion and mozzarella cheese
Spinach Mushroom Pizza-Alfredo sauce on the crust and top with fresh sliced mushrooms-fresh or frozen spinach-mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
Southwest Pizza-Salsa on the crust-top with crumbled beef or diced chicken-corn-black beans-shredded colby jack cheese.
Veggie Pizza-pesto sauce on the crust-red onion- roasted red peppers-red and green pepper-mushrooms-tomatoes-black olives and mozzarella cheese.
Ham and mushroom pizza-Pizza sauce or alfredo sauce-diced ham- fresh mushroom slices- green onion and mozzarella parmesan cheese.
There is always the traditional pizza with pizza sauce, pepperoni, and sausage.
Do you want to go gourmet? How about fresh mozzarella cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted garlic or feta cheese.I surf the web for other pizza ideas-my favorite is www.allrecipes.com
